When I find an outfit that works, I'm more the sort of person to wear it over and over again with minor changes than one who imposes a weekly wear limit. I have quite a number of high waisted skirts in my wardrobe that are on very regular rotation. This is mainly because 1) they highlight the illusion of a small waist, 2) my other staple of baggy, oversized vests and t-shirts look much better tucked into something tighter, 3) I can wear them short without displaying a sluttish lack of fabric.
