Heavenly interiors

(source unknown)

I know it's tempting for a lot of people to stick to a very neutral home decor for fear of being too garish or wacky. These pictures show how much of a waste a cream wall is. I think clashing pastels might be just for a girl's house- I can't see a man happy inside these walls. I think they're dreamy.

Lauri Faggioni

Laura Faggioni is a director, production designer and artist who has worked extensively with Michel Gondry since he asked her to make props for his films (including the horse in Science of Sleep!). I love her stop motion style, as seen below in the award-winning video for A Ribbon, which she directed, and the trailer for Science of Sleep. I also think her stuffed felt birds and sea creatures are the optimum mix of creepy and adorable.

Lowe Seger

Lowe Seger takes classic photography of classic men. It's very eighties, shades of beige and orange, with a huge quiff on top. If Wendy Bevan was a man taking photos of other men, this would be the result.

Daily Style

Two quick street style hits from Facehunter. I am going to try to make some of those dip dye tights at the weekend with some white tights generously donated by Amy Petal. The first girl's hair and layering skills are quite impressive too. I LOVE the square shouldered, short sleeved blazer proportions on the second girl, along with her jolie laide hair cut.

Reem

This collection from Reem is a dream accessories rack for me. For as long as I can remember I have been vigorously searching for OTT Tom Binnsesque jewellery that doesn't cost the earth. Apart from my friend Amee's amazing Topshop necklace (now broken, and I'm still mourning), I haven't even come close. You can imagine my excitement at discovering the existence of the Tom Binns/Alice in Wonderland collection, at least as excited as one can be who has yet to discover when it comes out, where it is stocked or even really what the pieces look like. HOPEFULLY in time for Christmas, says the girl who knows her boyfriend scans her blog for gift ideas? (edit: a small amount of research tells me that it arrives at the same time as the film in 2010, it's a collaboration with Disney Couture, and that prices start at $50) Unfortunately for me I believe the necklaces above were made for the Reem catwalk show, which does not help me price or availability wise. All suggestions welcome.
