New Year's Eve, 1939

For our New Year's celebration this year, we went back to wartime. Gin, games and smoking like we didn't know the health warnings. It was fabulous.

Your new year's eve looks like it was so much fun, love the photos. That house looks absolutely gorgeous, is it yours? I'm super jealous if it is.

With love, Mel

Wartime dinner was duck, sweet potato and sprouts, not traditional ration food but delicious!

Mel, it's my friend Tom's house (bottom picture, standing centre) and it was the perfect setting for our party, although it was definitely a bit haunted...
