Audrey Kawasaki, 3

My longtime favourite, whom I have written about here and here has painted some new girls on wood, which I would like to share with you all.

My favourite are the cutouts, which obviously belong to her but are much more striking than her usually expansive, drifting portraits. Continuing the theme of Japanese art, Amee and I went to the Hayward Gallery today for the "Walking in my Mind" exhibition, and had lots of fun inside the Yayoi Kusama and Yoshitomo Nara installations. Forgot to take a camera, obviously, so here is a blurry Blackberry photo of us in the dotty Kusama room. I recommend it to all Londoners, not least for the Sunday food market out back.

Yoshitomo Nara. Got in big trouble trying to take photos of his house.
