-------

This time tomorrow I will be in a bikini sipping prosecco on a mountainside in Tuscany. Ciao Ciao!

This

Said goodbye to my best friend on Thursday. Put my party clothes on and danced all night. I will be visiting you this year Robin!

The Unicorn Diaries

Some haunting images from The Unicorn Diaries, written by a girl whom I know almost nothing about, but whose collected photographs and diary entries suggest a world inhabited by lonely ghosts, fairy tales and abandoned museums.

Apartmento

From the look of these pages if I could get my hands on a copy of Apartmento it would quickly become my favourite magazine.

Yvette Inufio

Yvette Inufio is an American photographer who tries to capture unexplored corners and overlooked details. Her prints are available to buy (very cheaply) from her Etsy shop. The aged, faded photographs remind me of twee childhood holidays.

The Now Smash of Style

I am generally on board with Italian Vogue shoots, but I think I might kind of hate these. There is a fine line between jolie-laide and just ugly. The shots are artistic and painterly, but in concept and execution I think Vogue Germany did it better here. Personally speaking, if the clothes are going to be styled grungily, it's a bit much to have the models looking like they've been dipped in oil, smeared with greasepaint and dragged through a hedge backwards. What do you think?

Audrey Kawasaki, 3

My longtime favourite, whom I have written about here and here has painted some new girls on wood, which I would like to share with you all.

My favourite are the cutouts, which obviously belong to her but are much more striking than her usually expansive, drifting portraits. Continuing the theme of Japanese art, Amee and I went to the Hayward Gallery today for the "Walking in my Mind" exhibition, and had lots of fun inside the Yayoi Kusama and Yoshitomo Nara installations. Forgot to take a camera, obviously, so here is a blurry Blackberry photo of us in the dotty Kusama room. I recommend it to all Londoners, not least for the Sunday food market out back.

Yoshitomo Nara. Got in big trouble trying to take photos of his house.

Anna Emilia

Anna Emilia is a Finnish artist who splits her time between Finland and Iceland. She has illustrated some books, and I'd like her to do more- ideally a series of children's books that fall somewhere between The Moomins, Let the Right One In and The Snowman.
