Tilda

I have been so terrible at updating the blog lately, but life, job, moving house and an insane amount of travelling over the festive period definitely got in the way. I don't really have internet at my lovely new place yet (stealing it from the neighbours in five minute bursts isn't working out too well) but am going to make it my second new year's resolution to make more of an effort here. The first is to quit social smoking, which is easy to do since I've been ill for about a month. Anyway to get things rolling again here are a couple of new images from Wendy Bevan. Tilda Swinton and Ryan McGinley (from Wendy's Facebook page).

The Selby at Versailles, 2

Whilst he was at Versailles, it was inevitable that Todd Selby take some photos of the classical, permanent decor - and being as obsessed with interiors as I am I felt the urge to put these shots into a separate post. Ta da!

Belle & Boo

My friend Kathryn was the first person I know to discover Belle & Boo - treating me to some wrapping paper and a card for my birthday in August. Since then I've been in love with the adorable designs, and they've been kind enough to make some prints especially for Christmas.

All of the above are available to buy from their Etsy, if you hurry!

Xavier Veilhan

I posted a few months ago about the Jeff Koons exhibition at Versailles... and now the French artist Xavier Veilhan has taken over. I like it for all the same reasons I liked Koons - blablah modern art juxtaposed with classical architecture etc. The main reason I posted these photos is because they were taken by Todd Selby (The Selby), who always perfectly captures the vibe of his subjects. Listen to the Little Dragon song I've posted above, they're a sweet Swedish band that have been around for a couple of years. I'm in a bit of a grump so won't elaborate further.

Kitty Cam

....what could it be?

Going straight to the top of my Christmas wishlist is this ltd edition winking cat Shironeko Holga camera by Superheadz. It also meows and has flashing lights, which Urban Outfitters tells me is sure to make everyone look in the right direction when I take the picture. I've had a holga before (which I lost or someone stole), with limited results/interest level. But this one is so cute that I'll use it every day! (thanks santa).
