A few weeks ago I discovered NOWNESS - the LVMH run website that has a bunch of very cool contributors, and a new post every day. Click the source to see the video of these screen grabs, titled Entrance Romance, and featuring face of Estee Lauder Carolyn Murphy having glass thrown at her head, lighting hairspray and letting dogs lick her.

Here I Come

The Sartorialist has introduced a project whereby he posts vintage photos that readers send in. I think this is a fantastic idea, yielding great photos with very interesting stories. The photo below particularly caught my eye...

All I know is that it's someone's parent on her honeymoon. It looks like she's having the best time.

Emily Jane White - Wild Tigers I Have Known

Sally Mann's 1992 series 'Immediate Family' caused an uproar in America when it was released. Through the book documenting her three children (some naked) she was accused of child pornography. The controversy seemed to blow over quite quickly, not least when Time Magazine named her America's best photographer in 2001. I am having a moment of love for Sally, and I think her children look cool. What do you reckon?

I've just returned from an intense vegan macrobiotic yoga and detox retreat up a mountain in Italy... The weather was beautiful, so I'm very tanned, slightly more flexible than usual and longing for a proper hot summer (and am extremely disappointed that London has decided to return to two-pairs-of-tights weather). What better time to post this Wendy Bevan shoot from Italian Marie Claire '09?

Sorry all, I've been totally neglectful of the blog lately... I have many many images stored in my inspiration folder, but life has been getting in the way (in the last month alone I've been gigging in Paris, detoxing it Italy and trekking all over the UK). I've posted many times about Wendy Bevan, whose photo shoots I unfailingly adore, and here is another beautiful one I've had saved for a while...

If I ever decide to start wearing colour, it will now have to be every pastel colour all at once in scribbly patterns. I have recently bought at least 4 beige pieces of clothing (2 dresses, a cardi and some shoes) so if nothing else I have the base for something amazing. All I need to add are the rhinestones, tattered lace and perspex visor with felt tip eyes drawn on. Yes!
